When TheJokerBlogs creators made the video announcing they were going to begin posting video commentaries and bloopers, along with try getting the series on DVD, the video's description mentioned the second series. We all know this. But, the question is, when will we see the second series?
Seeing as how the first ended with Lex Luthor taking over Arkham, I can see them waiting another year before beginning on TJB2. And it would make sense at the rate they're going at releasing the video commentaries and bloopers. Why would they do this, though? For December 2012's Superman: Man of Steel. Right now, Lex Luthor isn't a confirmed villain for the film. Though, reports have surfaced that Adam Harris is auditioning for the role and Lindsay Lohan has met with him for her auditioning, as well as a unnamed character (Though a article has come up to say possibly Lana Lang). After that, rumors surfaced that Lex Luthor would work with Zod (Played by Michael Shannon) due to LexCorp being the most highly advanced company in the world and Zod needing the advanced technology to take over the world and turn it into New Krypton. At some point he has to work with the military and General Sam Lane (Played by Chris Meloni), father of Lois Lane (Played by Amy Adams), to not only stop Zod and his cronies, but also the newly untrusted Superman (Played by Henry Cavill).
Not sure if any of that is true just yet. These reports came from websites claiming to have E-mails from people at Warner Brothers. Sure, it could just be fake. But, hey, it's worth mentioning, anyway.
Back to the main topic...
What I think might happen is that they won't get started on production for TJB2 until they can see where to go with Lex judging how Man of Steel plays out.
That's just what I think might end up happening.
With no mentioning of filming yet, or even when they MIGHT have the first episode of series 2 up, plus the slow progression of releasing both the commentaries and bloopers, even with the official release schedule being mentioned every once in a while, they might just be stalling so that we can be happy for a bit longer with learning more about the show's production while they wait to see where they can go with Lex's arc, now that he's a big factor of the show. And who knows what else they plan to do, too? With Green Lantern being confirmed as a year-by-year trilogy, and the Flash movie in the works, and Wonder Woman up for grabs, maybe they're also looking to see how much they can play with?
What do you guys think?
